Caring for Someone at Home Can Be a Lot
Mississippi offers caregiver support programs and respite services that may provide temporary relief for people caring for an older adult or adult with disabilities.
Respite care can give a caregiver time to rest, attend appointments, handle personal needs or simply take a break.

Elderly & Disabled Waiver
Mississippi Medicaid's Elderly and Disabled Waiver provides home and community-based services for eligible people who would otherwise require nursing-facility-level care.
Personal Care
Help with activities such as eating, bathing, dressing, hygiene and other daily living needs.
In-Home Respite
Short-term support that may give a full-time caregiver temporary relief.
Expanded Home Health
Additional home health services may be available when approved as part of the person's care plan.
Medication Management
Medication-related support may be included for eligible waiver participants.
Environmental Safety
Services may include supports designed to help make the home environment safer.
Home-Delivered Meals
Eligible participants may also receive meal services as part of the waiver.
