What Kind of Transportation May Be Available?
Health Care
Depending on the local program, older adults may be transported to medical appointments, dialysis, pharmacies or other health-related services.
Essential Errands
Some programs provide transportation to places where an older adult can obtain needed goods or services, such as grocery stores or pharmacies.
Community Resources
Transportation may also help older adults reach senior centers, nutrition sites or other community services.
MEDICAID TRANSPORTATION
Need a Ride to a Medical Appointment?
Mississippi Medicaid provides Non-Emergency Transportation for eligible Medicaid members when there is no other way to get to and from a covered medical appointment.
