A Gentle Reset for the Soul
There’s something about realizing time has passed. One day, you’re in a rhythm, and the next, you look up and think, “Where did the weeks go?”
That’s where I found myself recently.
It’s been a while since I’ve sat down to write here. Life has been full—good things, busy things, unexpected things—but somewhere along the way, I drifted from this space that brings me so much joy. Maybe you’ve felt that too, not just with writing, but with prayer, with rest, with calling that thing God placed on your heart and if you’re honest, it’s easy to feel a little guilt about it. But today, I don’t feel guilt.
I feel something better. I feel a gentle invitation to reset.
God Doesn’t Rush You Back
One of the most beautiful things about our walk with God is this:
He doesn’t stand at a distance waiting for us to “get it together.” He meets us right where we are.
No shame.
No lecture.
No disappointment.
Just grace.
Just open arms.
Just a quiet whisper that says, “Come back.” A Reset Doesn’t Have to Be Big. Sometimes we think a reset has to be dramatic. Start over completely. Fix everything at once. Do more. Be more, but that’s not how grace works. A reset can be small.
Opening your Bible for a few minutes
Sitting quietly with a cup of coffee and talking to God
Picking back up something you love (like I’m doing right now)
Smiling at a memory instead of rushing past it
It’s not about perfection, it’s about returning.
For Our Seniors… and For All of Us
At Anchored Souls, so much of what we do is centered around remembering, reflecting, and reconnecting because no matter your age, the truth is the same: We all need moments to pause and say, “Lord, help me begin again.” Whether you’re in a busy season…a quiet season, or a season of healing, you are never too far to reset.
This Week, Let’s Start Simple
If you’ve been feeling off-track, behind, or disconnected—this is your reminder: You don’t have to catch up. You just have to come back. Start with one small step this week.
One prayer.
One moment of stillness.
One act of joy.
That’s enough…
Reflection Question:
What is one area of your life where God may be inviting you to gently reset—and what small step can you take this week to return to Him in that area?
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
